SOLD This painting took many hours and was one of the better 'learning' projects when I was first starting out. I struggled with the leaf edges, constantly having to be aware of the way in which the light caught the edges. I would hold real leaves in my hand, taking note of their irregularity and an almost stiff, waxy appearance. Some leaves curled, some seemed to fold, others were split or torn. A true lesson in observation.
